Apply to Work TogetherKatie went from from a curious green thumb to a successful business owner.
"I started working with Matt after learning about his company and programs at the 2021 Foodscaper Summit. I was about a year into starting up my foodscaping company, and was feeling totally lost and overwhelmed. I am now heading into year 5 running and managing it full time as the owner and founder (with a more-than living wage to boot!), managing several employees, and working with hundreds of clients annually.
Matt and his coaching program have been instrumental in my success:Â because of his guides, presentations, and one-on-one mentoring, I was able to level-up my ideas, installations, design skills, and all of the other skills it takes to manage an edible landscaping business.
The best part of this program is that you’re working with a mentor that is incredibly caring, available to you, thoughtful, and who clearly has his heart in this work. If you’re starting out in your edible landscaping company and looking to gain confidence, hone your skills, and feel supported by someone who cares deeply and has been in your exact shoes, working with Matt and in the Foodscaping Entrepreneurship School is where it’s at!"

“Before, I felt very disorganized. I didn’t have contracts or documentation. Now I feel much more structured as a business.”

About Matt:
I didn’t come into this with a blueprint.
I started where you probably are right now, trying to figure out how to turn a love of growing food, nature, and community into something real.
Over time, I built a foodscaping business that became profitable, worked with hundreds of real clients, and developed systems that actually held up in the field...not just in theory.
And along the way, I made a lot of mistakes.
Pricing too low.
Taking on the wrong kinds of projects.
Trying to figure everything out on my own.
What I’ve learned is this:
This work is real.
But it’s a lot harder, and a lot slower, when you’re doing it alone.
Now through The Foodscaper, I help people build edible landscaping businesses that actually function, where you’re not guessing your pricing, not scrambling every week, and not questioning if this can work.
What makes this different from most programs is simple:
You’re not just learning from someone who teaches this.
You’re working with someone who has actually built it, client by client, install by install, and can help you navigate the real decisions as they come up.
Working with me isn’t about giving you a “perfect plan.”
It’s about helping you move forward step by stepwith clarity, support, and real-world experience behind you.
"I began my first season in business on the right foot with realistic expectations and am happy to share that I now have a steadily growing client list."
