About The Foodscaper
The Foodscaper is a leading education and community platform for edible landscaping professionals. Our annual Foodscaper Conference brings together edible landscaping professionals from across North America to connect, learn, and grow their businesses.
Role Overview
We’re hiring a proactive, detail-loving admin + marketing generalist to own the day-to-day operations and help lead our 2026 conference. If you thrive on logistics, communication, and shepherding projects from idea → done, you’ll love this role.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on logistics, communication, and keeping projects moving smoothly behind the scenes.Â

Key Dates
- Training window: Nov 15- Jan 15, 2025Â
- Conference: Jan 28-29, 2026
- Cohort launch: February 2026

Hours Breakdown
- November (transition training): 5-10 hours / weekÂ
- December ( transition training): 10- 15 hours / week
- January: 15 hours/week
- Conference week (January 28-29): up to 20 hours
- Weekly hours beyond January: 15 max with potential to grow
Compensation
$25/hour
Key Responsibilities
Training
Starting immediately, attend weekly transitional training with Lindsay, current Marketing and Admin manager, to learn The Foodscaper operations
The Foodscaper Conference Planning & ExecutionÂ
- Project-manage the 2026 Foodscaper Conference (Jan 28–29): timelines, checklists, and stakeholder comms.
Coordinate speakers (scheduling, contracts, bios/headshots, slide handoffs, handouts). - Track sponsor deliverables and deadlines (if applicable).
- Build/manage invites and links (Google Calendar, Zoom); set up breakout rooms; provide live tech + light facilitation day-of.
Support affiliate program: distribute assets, track links, and share updates. - Post-event: participant survey, metrics, and recap report
- Here’s a link to last year’s conference sales page.Â
- Marketing & Social MediaÂ
- Send 1–2 newsletters/month (repurpose content from podcast/classes; basic copy + formatting) from within Kajabi.
Maintain a social presence (2–3 reposts/week + occasional stories). - Post announcements to relevant groups/boards; light networking outreachÂ
- Manage Programs: Pro Talks, The Foodscaper Membership, Entrepreneurship SchoolÂ
- Schedule, promote, and facilitate monthly Pro Talks (reminders to members/students, manage Zoom).
Coordinate 2026 cohort model with Matt: create Kajabi pages, intake, and comms for a Feb 2026 launch. - Alert Entrepreneurship students of monthly live Q&AÂ
- Produce and promote The Foodscaper Podcast
- Email and schedule speakers
- Use Descript to edit the podcast
- Create social media content from clips Â
- Plan and execute new cohort model - Winter 2026
- Work with Matt to create and market cohort groups through Kajabi. To Launch February 2026

- You speak the language of courses, cohorts, conferences and get the online learning worldÂ
- Are fluent in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) and comfortable learning new tools.
- Can operate in Kajabi, Zoom, and Canva (or are eager to learn quickly).
- Write clear, concise copy and manage calendars like a pro.
- Are organized, dependable, and community-minded.
- Bonus: familiarity with ecological edible landscaping/permaculture.

Newsletter cadence is consistent (1–2/mo) with accurate links and clean formatting. - Pro Talks run smoothly (reminders sent, links work, recordings saved).
- Cohort launch assets built in Kajabi and ready for Feb 2026.
- Familiarity with ecological edible landscaping is a plus.
